Rebar export price continues to maintain stability in Brazil

Rebar export prices in Brazil remain negotiated at $590/mt, FOB conditions, with the CA-50 grade, 10mm thickness product as reference, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

The price is stable since early November 2017, as operational margins remain squeezed by power rates, resulting in sales limited to countries favored by logistics in Latin America.

Brazilian producers remain focused in the local market, where prices this week have reached BRL 4,054/mt ($1,260/mt) ex-works, full taxes except IPI, considering sales by distributors.
