Rebar demand weak in Yemen, prices on sideways trend

Rebar demand in the local Yemeni market has been quiet, while both domestic and import offers have shown no changes since last week and continue their sideways trend. Rebar prices in the Yemeni domestic market are still at $715-725/mt ex-works, while ex-Turkey rebar offers are at $630-640/mt CFR on theoretical weight basis, though local buyers indicate that it is possible to see deals below the range in question for large volume bookings.
 
In addition, Yemeni buyers further state that the consumption rate and demand will likely improve in the local market after Ramadan.
