Brazilian producers remain negotiating rebar for export in a price range of $590/mt to $600/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, the same range over two weeks, a local source told SteelOrbis.
The source mentioned that the reference price range remains for sales to South American countries only, today the main destination of Brazilian rebar exports.
In September, Brazil exported 42,300 mt of rebar, all destined to South American countries. ArcelorMittal exported 22,100 mt at $582/mt, and Gerdau exported 20,200 mt at $561/mt, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in July.
