Brazilian producers remain negotiating rebar for export in a price range of $590/mt to $600/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, the same range as last week, a local source told SteelOrbis.
The source mentioned that the reference price range remains limited to sales to South American countries, currently the main destination for Brazilian rebar exports.
In August, ArcelorMittal exported 32,800 mt of rebar from Brazil, in average at $572/mt, while Gerdau exported 10,100 mt at $564/mt, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in June.
