SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Turkish merchant bar export offers from the Karabuk and Iskenderun regions have increased by $10/mt compared to two weeks ago. Turkish merchant bar traders have revised their export prices upwards due to rising domestic and import billet prices. For now, buyers are just evaluating the new offers because some market players in the Middle East and North Africa are still on holiday. Positive sentiment prevails among Turkish merchant bar exporters. Market sources believe that new ex-Turkey merchant bar deals will be concluded in the coming week.

Export offers from Turkish merchant bar producers are at the following levels:

620-650
