Nucor-Yamato sent a letter to customers late Friday, which said the company will reduce wide flange beam prices by $40 to $60/nt ($2.00-$3.00 cwt.) effective with new orders on Monday, September 28.

The company said the move was to “address foreign and domestic competition.” Other mills are expected to follow suit.
