Rebar producers in Egypt have continued following the price uptrend initiated earlier by the local giant Ezz Steel. As a result, more price revisions have been seen in the market since late last week. Some producers have pulled up their offers by $11/mt (EGP 200/mt) since earlier this month, while some have attempted a higher increase, of $14-22/mt (EGP 250-400/mt), depending on the suppliers’ positions. Market sources indicate that, despite some improvement in demand, the level of rebar stocks at the producers' side remains significant.
