As of today, March 24, official wire rod prices in Turkey have increased by $25/mt depending on the region as compared to March 10, against the backdrop of higher production costs, in particular higher import scrap and billet prices. According to sources, one Iskenderun-based mill is rumored to be testing a wire rod price of $595/mt ex-works, up by $25/mt over the same period, depending on the tonnage and payment terms.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey have settled at $585-600/mt ex-works, also up by $20/mt over the same period.
Most buyers are just purchasing in line with their daily needs.
