As of today, February 24, official wire rod prices in Turkey have fallen by $5/mt week on week depending on the region, amid the ongoing depreciation of Turkish lira against US dollar and sluggish demand. According to sources, one Iskenderun-based mill is rumored to be testing a wire rod price of $555/mt ex-works, depending on the tonnage and payment terms.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey have settled at $550-570/mt ex-works, indicating a decrease of $5/mt over the past week.
Most buyers are taking their time for the new purchases and in a wait and see stance.
