Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased further by TRY 10-40/mt ($1-6/mt) today, July 21, to the range of TRY 3,480-3,520/mt ($431-435/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region and the dimension. Market players consider Turkish integrated mill Kardemir’s domestic rebar sales (approximately 28,250 mt in total) to be a positive sign, while some have even indicated that they expect price increases from other steelmakers.
Icdas has kept its rebar prices stable today at TRY 3,480/mt ($431/mt) ex-works. The general range of other Marmara-based mills’ rebar offers is at TRY 3,520-3,550/mt ($435-439/mt) ex-works.
Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has also kept its domestic rebar offers unchanged at TRY 3,500/mt ($433/mt) ex-works today, while in Iskenderun Koc Metallurgy has announced that its domestic rebar sales are closed for the day.
