As of today, April 28, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have decreased by TRY 100/mt ($4/mt) in the Marmara and Iskenderun regions, while remaining unchanged in the local currency with minor changes on US dollar basis in the rest of the country , compared to Thursday, April 24. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 24,600-25,100/mt or $533-544/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region, at an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 38.45.
The official rebar prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions vary at $540-560/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S.’s prices, stable week on week, while the workable rebar prices in these regions vary at $530-550/mt ex-works, versus $535-545/mt ex-works previously, for cash payment only.
One Iskenderun-based mills has issued its rebar price at TRY 25,250/mt ($547/mt) ex-works today. Sources report that the workable rebar price in this region is close to TRY 24,500-24,750/mt ($531-536/mt) ex-works amid aggressive pricing.
