Having gradually moved down over the last week, domestic rebar prices have continued their downtrend at the beginning of the current week. Market sources believe that prices will fall further in the coming days against the backdrop of the weakness demand and lower scrap and billet quotations.
On the other hand, SteelOrbis has been informed that Turkish producer Icdas has announced its rebar prices today, February 25, at TRY 2,635/mt ($496/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT. Additionally, another Turkish mill Izmir Celik has announced its rebar price today at TRY 2,627/mt ($495/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT.
Lastly, domestic rebar prices in Turkey have decreased by TRY 8-51/mt as compared to SteelOrbis’ report published on February 21.
