Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers have mainly kept their Turkish lira-based prices stable with minor changes on US dollar basis, while their prices in Iskenderun have risen by TRY 600/mt ($13/mt), due to the ongoing currency fluctuations and the relatively positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 23,100/mt ($598/mt) ex-works today, May 6.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late May-early June or from stocks, depending on the size.
