Official wire rod prices in Turkey have only risen by $5/mt in the Izmir region, while remaining stable in the rest of the country, as compared to Tuesday, May 6, against the backdrop of the relatively positive sentiment in the import scrap segment.
According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey are at around $550-565/mt ex-works, also up by $5/mt on the lower end from a week earlier, depending on the region.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its wire rod price at $585/mt ex-works today, May 13.
