Turkish mills have mostly kept their official wire rod prices stable, while wire rod prices have decreased by $15-24/mt in the Thrace and Iskenderun regions to $654-680/mt over the past week. Kardemir has kept its 6-27 mm wire rod price at $675/mt ex-works today.
Icdas cut its official wire rod price by $15/mt to $680/mt ex-works earlier this week. An Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official wire rod price today at TRY 13,000/mt ($654/mt), excluding VAT, falling by TRY 400/mt ($24/mt) amid the ongoing depreciation of Turkish lira against the US dollar. It is worth mentioning that, although Marmara-based wire rod prices are stable, the mill has set its exchange rate at $1 = TRY 20.50 for today's pricing. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 19.89 for today's pricing in the Iskenderun region as no specific exchange rate is mentioned.
Most suppliers are offering for June delivery, while a limited tonnage is available from stocks.
