Local Turkish merchant bar prices have moved down by TRY 10-50/mt week on week due to sluggish demand to which the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar has contributed.
Meanwhile, domestic angle prices in Turkey are currently at TRY 2,500-2,690/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT. Market sources state that merchant bar producers offer discounts of TRY 20-40/mt for serious buyers in most of regions.
