The situation in the local Italian rebar market has deteriorated further this week, with Italian producers' domestic rebar prices declining to the lower end of last week's price range and now standing at €355/mt ($394/mt) ex-works. Since demand is nearly moribund and with scrap prices are also weakening, market sources indicate that further decreases in prices may be possible in the short term.
