Italian domestic rebar quotations maintain uptrend

Over the past week, Italian rebar producers have increased their local prices by €30/mt to €430/mt ($456/mt) ex-works, after having sold rebar at €390-400/mt ex-works in the previous weeks. Demand in the local Italian rebar market remains very weak, while higher domestic scrap prices are providing support for rebar prices. Meanwhile, rebar exports to Algeria are still blocked as the market is waiting for the release of import licenses in this country.
