Domestic rebar prices have decreased in the Italian market in the past week, from €400-410/mt ex-works to €390-400/mt ex-works, after trending sideways in the previous two weeks. As reported previously, local producers' sales have remained slack even though the Italian government has eased its lockdown measures against the coronavirus. Meanwhile, several sources have complained about late payments. On the bright side, market sources have reported that Italian export activities have resumed in the past week, especially in the Mediterranean area (e.g., Algeria). Italian rebar producers have closed sales at prices around €405-410/mt FOB.
