An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has raised its official rebar price by TRY 250/mt ($1/mt) to TRY 25,500/mt ($552/mt) ex-works today, April 30, in order to offset currency fluctuations, for an extended delivery period, as compared to Monday, April 21. In addition, the producer has kept its 6.5 mm SAE 1008 grade wire rod price unchanged at $585/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period, compared to April 21. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 38.51 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate. According to sources, additional discounts are also available for serious buyers.
