Iskenderun-based Turkish mill revises its longs prices to offset currency fluctuations

SteelOrbis has been informed that today, October 3, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has kept its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 16,350/mt ($595/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, only down by $1/mt on US dollar basis from the previous day due to the ongoing currency fluctuations. The mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 19,400/mt ($588/mt), up by TRY 50/mt, while remained unchanged on US dollar basis, over the same period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 27.50 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
