SteelOrbis has been informed that today, August 17, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has issued its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 15,720/mt ($580/mt), ex-works, excluding VAT. This wire rod price indicates a TRY 220/mt ($7/mt) increase compared to Tuesday, August 15, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and costlier import scrap. The mill had kept its wire rod price unchanged the last time. It issued its rebar price at TRY 18,700/mt ($575/mt) this afternoon, down by just TRY 50/mt ($2/mt) over the same period . The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 27.10 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.

$1 = TRY 27.10
