An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has increased its official rebar price by another TRY 50/mt to TRY 24,250/mt ($555/mt) ex-works today, for an extended delivery period, over the previous day, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations. In addition, the producer has kept its wire rod price stable at $575/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 36.39 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
Sources report another mill in this region has also increased its rebar price by TRY 200/mt ($3/mt) to TRY 24,900/mt ($570/mt) over the day.
