An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has decreased its official rebar price by TRY 750/mt ($21/mt) to TRY 25,250/mt ($551/mt) ex-works today, April 21, against the backdrop of sluggish demand and the ongoing currency fluctuations, for an extended delivery period, as compared to Wednesday, April 2. In addition, the producer has cut its wire rod price by $15/mt to $585/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period over the same period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 38.20 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate. According to sources, additional discounts are also available for serious buyers.
The producer was offering rebar at TRY 25,750/mt ($562/mt) ex-works at the end of last week.
