SteelOrbis has been informed that today, October 2, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has increased its official mesh grade wire rod price by TRY 450/mt ($16/mt), to TRY 16,350/mt ($596/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, as compared to Thursday, September 28, against the backdrop of the costlier energy prices applicable from October 1. The mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 19,350/mt ($588/mt), unchanged over the same period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 27.42 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
