An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has issued its official rebar price at TRY 27,000/mt ($592/mt) ex-works today, March 20, against the backdrop of the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment and the ongoing currency fluctuations, for an extended delivery period, as compared to Monday, March 17. The mill's rebar price indicates a TRY 500/mt rise, while falling by $10/mt on US dollar basis over the same period. In addition, the producer has kept its wire rod price unchanged at $600/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 38.00 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
