An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has raised its official rebar price by TRY 200/mt ($4/mt) to TRY 24,200/mt ($556/mt) ex-works in the afternoon of today, Thursday, February 20, for an extended delivery period, compared to Tuesday, February 18, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and the relatively positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. In addition, the producer has kept its wire rod price stable at $575/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 36.30 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
