SteelOrbis has been informed that today, August 11, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has kept its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 15,300/mt ($566/mt), ex-works, excluding VAT, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations. The mill issued its rebar price at TRY 18,250/mt ($562/mt) this afternoon, rising by TRY 250/mt ($7/mt) from the previous day, while the producer again hiked its rebar price by another TRY 150/mt ($5/mt) a little later. As a result, the final rebar price is currently available at TRY 18,400/mt ($567/mt) ex-works. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 27.05 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate. The producer’s wire rod and rebar prices have remained unchanged and risen by a total of TRY 400/mt ($12/mt), respectively, compared to the previous day.
