An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has hiked its official rebar price by TRY 250/mt ($4/mt) to TRY 26,250/mt ($565/mt) ex-works today, May 14, for an extended delivery period, as compared to yesterday. The producer has kept its 6.5 mm SAE 1008 grade wire rod price unchanged at $585/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 38.75 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
It is worth mentioning that the mill had increased its rebar price by TRY 150/mt($3/mt) to TRY 26,000/mt ($561/mt) ex-works at an exchange rate of $1 = TRY 38.64 on May 8, compared to Tuesday, May 6. As a result, the mill has hiked its rebar price by a total of TRY 400/mt ($7/mt) over the past week.
