An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has cut its official rebar price by TRY 1,000/mt ($21/mt) to TRY 26,000/mt ($571/mt) ex-works today, April 2, amid sluggish demand and the ongoing currency fluctuations, for an extended delivery period, as compared to Thursday, March 20. In addition, the producer has kept its wire rod price unchanged at $600/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 37.92 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
It is worth mentioning that the producer is longer applying conversion costs for different sizes, which means all its rebar sizes, such as 12 mm ,10 mm and 8 mm, will be sold at the same price.
