Iskenderun-based Turkish mill cuts its dollar-based longs prices

SteelOrbis has been informed that today, October 16, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has kept its official mesh grade wire rod price at TRY 16,350/mt ($586/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, stable in the local currency, while down by $9/mt on US dollar basis, compared to Tuesday, October 3 amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand. The mill has issued its rebar price at TRY 19,000/mt ($568/mt), down by TRY 400/mt ($20/mt) over the same period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 27.90 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
