SteelOrbis has been informed that today, January 23, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has kept its rebar price at TRY 23,900/mt ($559/mt) ex-works compared to the previous day, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations, for an extended delivery period. The mill's rebar price indicates a TRY 300/mt ($5/mt) increase compared to Friday, January 17. In addition, the producer has also kept its wire rod price, at $570/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 35.66 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate.
According to sources, the workable rebar prices vary at $550-555/mt ex-works in the Marmara and Izmir regions for serious buyers and cash payment only.
