Most Turkish merchant bar producers have decreased their export prices by $20/mt on the lower end in the past two weeks amid currency fluctuations and the partial holiday period in the European Union. Most suppliers are offering for October shipment. Moreover, a few suppliers have already booked for October shipment and are not in a rush to sell and start offering for November shipment.

Turkish equal angle export prices are currently available at $730-760/mt FOB depending on the re-roller and their order books. Most merchant bar enquiries are received from Dubai and European countries that are not on a summer break. The merchant bar offers are expected to be revised in line with the import scrap and billet price trend.

Turkish merchant bar export prices are currently at the following levels:

Price ($/mt)

Angle

730-760

IPN-UPN

740-770

Flat bar

760-790

All prices are on FOB basis and for October shipment.
