Ex-Turkey merchant bar prices have decreased by $20/mt to $700-720/mt for October shipment amid the negative sentiment in the import scrap segments. International buyers exert pressure for further discounts.

Sources report a few inquiries are received from European Union, while most international buyers are in a wait and see stance to be on the safe side if the merchant bar export prices might soften.
