Ex-Greece rebar prices remain stable

Over the past week, demand for Greek rebar in the global markets has remained slack. Market sources state that the weakness of demand has prevented Greek rebar producers from increasing their export prices even though their production costs have increased amid rising imported scrap prices. As a result, ex-Greece rebar quotations have remained stable week on week at €500-510/mt ($580-592/mt) FOB.
