Domestic rebar prices in Turkey have remained unchanged since December 14, starting the current week with a sideways movement. On the other hand, the improvement seen in domestic rebar purchases last week remained limited in line with the forecast made by SteelOrbis during the same week, and once again trading activity in the local Turkish rebar market is sluggish. However, domestic rebar prices in Turkey have remained stable since December 14 with the support of the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and the slight increase recorded in import scrap prices in Turkey at the weekend. Meanwhile, due to currency fluctuations prices have declined in all regions by $1-2/mt on US dollar basis.
