Domestic rebar prices in Turkey fall slightly

Buyers in the local Turkish rebar market have continued to conclude purchases only in line with their daily needs amid concerns relating to inventory costs and also as they wish to see international buyers’ reaction to Turkish mills’ higher rebar export offers. 

Today, Turkish mill Icdas has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 10/mt to TRY 2,950/mt ($486/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices stable at TRY 2,924/mt ($482/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.

 As of today, May 21, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:
