SteelOrbis has been informed that buyers in the local Turkish merchant bar market considering current price levels to be on the high side, while they are concluding deals only in line with their needs. Accordingly, demand in the local Turkish merchant bar market is at low levels, while the high production costs of Turkish mills have prevented domestic prices from falling. As a result, domestic merchant bar prices in Turkey have moved sideways as compared to quotations recorded on SteelOrbis’ report on March 8.
