Demand still weak for Turkish merchant bar exports

According to market sources, Turkish steel producers' merchant bar export prices have remained stable week on week in the range of $395-425/mt FOB. Meanwhile, foreign buyers are not interested in building up their stocks due to year-end considerations and so demand for Turkish merchant bar in the export markets is still weak. Nevertheless, Turkish exporters have concluded sales of small tonnages of merchant bar to North and West Africa.
