Demand remains quiet in Kuwaiti rebar market

In the Kuwaiti domestic rebar market, medium size rebar offers have remained unchanged at the price range of KWD 210-214/mt ($756-770/mt) ex-warehouse, on theoretical weight basis.

Some construction projects have already been launched in the country, but these projects are insufficient to boost domestic rebar demand. Meanwhile, only a few export offers have been heard from Turkey to Kuwait, with Turkey's new rebar export offers to the Kuwaiti rebar market at $675-680/mt CFR. However, no transactions have been concluded at this price range. Meanwhile, local buyers are only purchasing in line with their urgent needs and still prefer to remain in wait-and-see mode.

As SteelOrbis has previously reported, new construction projects are expected to begin in line with increased political stability and the government budget for construction projects.
