Since only a few ex-CIS steel billet transactions has been heard lately, ex-CIS steel billet offers have softened by about $10/mt due to this sluggishness.
Accordingly, ex-CIS steel billet export offers, which were at $610-620/mt FOB last week, have regressed to $595-605/mt FOB in traders' offers and to $610-615/mt FOB in producers' offers.
SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that, a steel producer from the CIS has concluded a steel billet export transaction this week at $610/mt FOB. Traders' ex-CIS steel billet offers to Turkey have lately declined to $620/mt CFR Istanbul, while offers to Saudi Arabia are at $655-665/mt CFR Jeddah.
