Domestic and export prices for ERW pipes and hollow sections in Bulgaria have not changed over the past two weeks. The local market remains very weak, but demand in the European market, the main export destination for Bulgarian welded pipes, is steadier. As regards imports, Turkish suppliers have raised offers of welded pipes by €15-25/mt, taking advantage of their wider product mix.
Bulgarian domestic prices of electro-welded steel pipes and hollow sections with 2-5 mm wall thickness according to EN 10219 made from S235JR grade HR products are at about €400-420/mt ex-works, excluding 20 percent VAT and on actual weight basis. Domestic prices for Bulgarian ERW pipes and hollow sections with 1.2-1.5 mm wall thickness made from CR products are at €500-510/mt ex-works.
Export prices for Bulgarian ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2.0-6.0 mm wall thickness made from HRC are about €390-400/mt ex-works on a theoretical weight basis. In particular, offers of Bulgarian welded pipes to Germany and Poland are on average at €430-440/mt CPT, for Romania are at €405-415/mt CPT, for Spain are at €470-490/mt CPT, and for Sweden are at €490-500/mt CPT. All export prices are on theoretical weight basis.
ERW pipes with 1.2-1.4 mm wall thickness made from CR steel are priced in the foreign markets at about €510/t ex-works. Export prices for galvanized ERW pipes made according to DIN 2440/2444 are at €680/mt ex-works.
Turkish ERW pipes made from HRC with diameter of 114.3-273.1 mm and wall thickness of 5-8 mm are being offered to the Bulgarian market at €435-455/mt CPT.
Currently, there is no reason to expect any price increase for Bulgarian welded pipes in the coming two weeks.
