The reference price for the export of rebar by Brazilian producers is $800/mt, against $810/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In December, Brazil exported 33,400 mt and imported 1,900 mt of rebar, comparable to 43,800 mt and 5,100 mt in November, respectively.
The exports were all destined to South American countries, shipped by ArcelorMittal (29,800 mt at $737/mt) and Gerdau (3,600 mt at $687/mt), FOB conditions and different quality grades.
The imports were from Turkey, in average at $806/mt, FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 5,750/mt ($1,011/mt) against BRL 5,800/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
