Brazilian rebar export offers increase to South American countries

The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is now $790/mt, against $770/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.

In August, Brazil exported 26,300 mt of rebar, in average at $784/mt, while importing 27,500 mt of the product at $664/mt, both FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BR L6,639/mt ($1,223/mt), against BRL 6,336/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
