The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports for sales to South American countries is now at $830/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, against $860/mt two weeks ago.
In November, Brazil exported 43,800 mt of rebar while importing 5,100 mt of the product, against 33,600 mt and 25,300 mt, respectively, in October.
The exports in November were destined to South American countries (31,500 mt at $736/mt) and Jamaica (12,300 mt at $629/mt), while the exporters were Gerdau (28,300 mt at $660/mt) and ArcelorMittal (15,500 mt at $791/mt), all FOB conditions. The imports were all from Turkey, at $800/mt, also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 6,000/mt ($1,111/mt), against BRL 6,200/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
