Trader sources say there they are still working with a number of possible offshore sources for US import cold rolled coil bookings, but firm relationships have not been solidified.  Trader sources have confirmed booking trial runs with several offshore mills, citing new offshore trials are being quoted at “attractive price points” that are “mostly on par” with futures offer prices from Brazil and Russia before the trade case petitions were filed, although “no new relationships have been solidified as of yet.”

US domestic prices, however, remain unchanged and continue to trend in the approximate range of $28-$29 cwt. ($617-$639/mt or $560-$580/nt), ex-Midwest mill.   US domestic orders and activity levels remain light.
