US import HDG and Galvalume coil offers have remained neutral in the past seven days. Last week, SteelOrbis reported that the offer price range for for import 0.012” 30 G30 coil price had widened by $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) on the bottom end, and by $2.00 cwt ($44/mt or $40/nt) on the top end. This brought the price range in line with what is being offered for import Galvalume coil.
What’s notable, however, is that some import Galvalume coil offers are up to $2.00 cwt ($22/mt or $20/nt) below domestic offer prices. SteelOrbis sources have further noted that domestic offers for this grade are “trending more toward $50 cwt. ($1,102/mt or $1,000/nt), ex-mill,” which has renewed buyers’ interest in booking tons offshore.
