US import HDG prices climb yet again

Sources close to SteelOrbis have confirmed that spot market prices for US import HDG and Galvalume coil have climbed by approximately $5 cwt. ($110/mt or $100/nt) since our last report a week ago. Sources also say they’re paying close tabs on the international markets, because while some think the global uptrend in steel prices is indiciative of a super-cycle, others still believe that “it’s pricing bubble that will inevitably pop. The only thing I can say for sure about the current state of the market, is that it ain’t for the feint of heart.”
