US domestic CRC prices reach plateau

The most commonly reported spot price range for US domestic cold rolled coil have leveled out in the past seven days back-to-back weeks of pricing upticks brought on by back-to-back weeks of mill increase announcements.   The market is currently trending along at status quo, according to industry insiders, who say that most purchasing managers made their buys right around the time prices bottomed out.  Current ex-mill orders are being placed on an as-needed basis, and large stock buys are being avoided.

Meanwhile offshore prices for CRC from India and China have also held steady since our last report a week ago, although trader sources still believe increased pricing levels are on the horizon.
