Current pricing for US domestic CRC continues to hold at $39.50-$40.50 cwt. ($871-$893/mt or $790-$810/nt), ex-mill, and while pricing for the latter part of September continues to remain neutral, pricing is up year-over-year.

In late-September 2016, SteelOrbis reported US domestic CRC prices were trending at $37.50-$38.50 cwt. ($827-$849/mt or $750-$770/nt), ex-Midwest mill.

“Everything is holding mostly steady, although prices seem to be softening within the current range,” a source said, adding that demand and overall market activity remains steady, but lacks excitement.

Looking offshore, import CRC prices in the US domestic market from Russia continue to be heard at $34.50-$35.00 cwt. ($761-$772/mt or $690-$700/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports, although trader sources have indicated that offshore mills have been increasingly open to negotiating on price.
